Sostenes Lima, LCSW
I’m here to create a safe non-judgemental space where we can collaborate and work towards healing and growth. I specialize in working with folks who seek to address experiences of trauma, depression, anxiety, racial trauma, spiritual/religious trauma, immigrant-based stress and fatherhood. My approach is relational and client-centered while using clinical training in EMDR, Attachment, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic and CBT.
I received my master degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University and Bachelors from Grand Canyon University in Behavioral Health with an emphasis on Chemical Dependency Counseling. I have worked in mental health and non-profit settings for over 8 years which include community mental health, psychiatric facilities, schools and family reunification work. These experiences have led me to a deep understanding and reverence for the complexity of issues that bring folks to therapy.
You deserve a space where you can fully commit to identifying, processing and releasing whatever challenge you may be facing. An environment and therapist that offer support, ways to cope and a deeper awareness of what you are experiencing.
