Shantie Abel, AMFT
MFT Intern
I have a strong commitment to uplifting others and fostering positive awareness. I assist clients in finding meaning and inspiration in a life of recovery and hope, as well as in building a life that is worthwhile. I regard therapy as a collaborative effort in which our knowledge and abilities combine to find solutions. Trust, authenticity, freedom, laughter, and positive outcomes are all essential components of an effective therapeutic relationship.
I obtained a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Delaware. I also have an M.S. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Counseling. Over the years, I've worked with adults and adolescents who have struggled with poor self-esteem, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, relationship issues, career counseling, and adolescent concerns.
