Patrick Coranado, AMFT

"My name is Franz Patrick Coronado, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I received a Master of Arts in Psychology with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of the West. What I value about my graduate program is the emphasis on a multicultural approach with an integration of mindfulness. In addition, I have interned at two sites during my program, having worked with older adults with dementia and their families and caregivers at an adult daycare center and briefly with adolescents at a community mental health center and a high school. Aside from education, I have worked in Applied Behavioral Analysis as a behavioral interventionist for 5 years, providing services for individuals diagnosed with autism of various ages in a home, school, and community setting. A large part of my experiences involve working with clients with neurocognitive and neurodevelopmental conditions and with their families and care systems, in addition to working with adolescents who are experiencing challenges that come with being a teenager.

When working with my clients, I like to use an insight-oriented approach by getting to know the many sides of what makes you, you - which can include the biological, psychological, sociological, cultural, and religious/spiritual elements. My work resonates with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life changes. By providing a space that welcomes authenticity, creativity, and collaboration, I hope to get to know where you are in your life and how I can support that journey."
