Welcome! I am Charlotte a LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and my therapy style is holistic, trauma informed and strengths based.
I function from a culturally competent and social justice perspective and my sessions are interactive, collaborative, and client-centered. My goal of therapy is to identify your expectations, explore your goals and to meet your individual needs. I offer a kind and supportive approach while also encouraging clients to make necessary changes to improve their wellness, relationships, work performance, and overall quality of life.
My approach to treatment is multi-faceted to suit each individual’s needs and I utilize a variety of evidenced based practices including, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Mindfulness.
My life’s work has been dedicated to reducing stigma around mental health issues by promoting social change and through direct clinical work with clients. I look forward to talking with you and being part of your personal journey!

My name is Leisha Benjamin. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 plus years of experience in working with a variety of mental health populations. I have experience working with diverse populations individually or in a group setting. I’m challenged each day to incorporate the vast clinical strategies I’ve come to learn and master over the years. I’m an effective motivator, communicator and advocate with the ability to diffuse stressful situations, proactively resolve issues and assist clients in meeting challenging goals and objectives. I also possess the ability to establish rapport quickly; build trust, interact and relate to individuals. I’m family oriented and believe that family is the Core centerpiece in all our lives. It’s a necessary component for building healthy relations in many aspects of our lives. I find that CBT-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; and DBT-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(s) when engaging in therapy with clients are the most effective forms of clinical strategies and are the two, I most often use. These are both evidenced based practice Treatment Modalities, and can be applied to a variety of issues including depression, anxiety; stress management, PTSD etc. I’ve attended many workshops over the years to gain valuable knowledge and tools to utilize these Modalities effectively and am confident in my ability to employ them.
