Hi! I’m Georgette “Gigi” Camisa, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I’m passionate to get to know you exactly where you are in life and to walk with you towards your goals and aspirations.

I have 24 years of experience working with diverse populations, ranging from children to elderly, assisting clients with an extensive range of presenting issues related to depression, anxiety, life stressors/transitions, grief/loss and relational conflicts.

In addition to private practice, I have provided therapy in a variety of settings: psychiatric/eating disorder/trauma/detox-substance abuse inpatient & outpatient, group, individual, couple’s, family, community and school based, transitional youth/foster care housing, and domestic violence shelter.  My experience also includes: Clinical Supervisor, Transitional House/Emancipated Youth Housing Manager, Youth at Risk Counselor, Sober Living Home Intake Coordinator, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a DV shelter setting.

I obtained my MA in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, Los Angeles, CA.

My style is empathetic, warm, and collaborative. I believe in creating a safe space to express and discuss difficult and delicate issues. We’ll approach issues together to promote mindfulness that can lead to better life choices. My therapeutic approach is strength based, utilizing solution focused therapy, mindful therapy, CBT skills, as well as other techniques/skills as needed, building on your strengths to attain positive outcomes and personal growth in your life.

We sometimes just need an outside perspective to recognize our strengths, talents, and gifts that can help us overcome any obstacle and I look forward to assisting you on your path of self-discovery.
