D'Andra Nelson, AMFT

AMFT96244

Hello, my name is D'Andra Nelson. I received a BS in Psychology from University of Phoenix and a MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have more than 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families and veterans. I primarily work with individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, PTSD, intergenerational trauma, and severe mood disturbances. I am passionate about giving back to the communities I come from providing education, resources, and support in order to improve their overall quality of life. I have a compassionate approach to psychotherapy allowing a safe space for clients to work through their healing process and function at a higher capacity. I use modalities such as psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy to assist with building more healthy relationships. I believe true healing begins within oneself, then spills into everything around us, and everyone can operate in wellness and improve their overall quality of life.
