Welcome!
My name is Lauren Hellum, and I want to congratulate you on beginning or continuing your journey to self-healing. I acknowledge the challenges you have experienced that have brought you to seek out counseling, and I want to assist you in overcoming these hurdles. I believe that we all have the capability to be the best versions of ourselves and may need support and tools to guide us to where we want to be and who we want to become. I am passionate about helping people decondition themselves from unwanted behaviors, troubling thoughts, and emotions through psychotherapy. I emphasize looking at you and your experiences holistically and aim to individualize and tailor your therapeutic experiences to match your needs and goals.

I have a Master’s of Social Work from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a B.A. in Non-Governmental Organizations/Social Change from the University of Southern California. I specialize in Community Mental Health and have an interest in working with international clientele, college students, adults, and children. I strive to be aware of cultural nuances and socioeconomic barriers that may be affecting you and your well-being. I also recognize and provide space for those needing assistance in unraveling their intersectional identities and how they could be impacting their mental health. I value you and your journey to self-growth and healing and am excited to be a part of it.
