Chanelle Haywood, ACMFT

AMFT 140126

My name is Chanelle Haywood, and as your Marriage and Family Therapist, I hope to provide a comfortable & safe space along your journey of healing and growth. I received my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at University of Southern California and gained my B.A. in Psychology & Social Behavior with a minor in Anthropology at University of California, Irvine. As an L.A. Native, I find myself driven to offer a space for those who desire to feel understood and at ease sharing their vulnerabilities.

I’ve always been the kind of person who’s passionate about giving a voice to everyone, working with each patient as a whole person. I understand the importance of addressing the areas of trauma, wellness, both the body
and the mind, and knowing what a difference meaningful resources can bring to one’s life. I aim here to break barriers for all who desire to explore therapy and heal communities to destigmatize mental health.

My approach is cultured by empowerment, antiracism, multiculturalism, and critical race theory. I work to serve individuals and couples of all backgrounds, including the topics of racial identity, trauma, sexuality, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and more. Once we begin our work together, I will hold space that is collaborative, grounding, warm, and supportive as you explore
meaningful pathways towards your most authentic self.
