My name is Franz Patrick Coronado, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Master of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of the West. One aspect I deeply valued about my graduate program was its strong emphasis on multicultural perspectives and the integration of mindfulness within the therapeutic process.
Throughout my clinical training, I interned at two different sites where I gained experience working with diverse populations. I worked with older adults experiencing dementia, as well as their families and caregivers, in an adult daycare setting. I also worked with adolescents in both a community mental health center and a high school setting.
In addition to my clinical training, I have over five years of experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) as a Behavioral Interventionist. In this role, I provided support to individuals diagnosed with autism across various age groups in home, school, and community environments.
A significant portion of my professional experience has involved working with individuals with neurocognitive and neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as supporting their families and care systems. I also have experience working with adolescents navigating the emotional, social, and developmental challenges that often come with the teenage years.
In my work with clients, I utilize an insight-oriented and holistic approach by exploring the many layers that contribute to each person’s unique identity. This may include biological, psychological, sociological, cultural, and spiritual components. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that welcomes authenticity, creativity, collaboration, and self-exploration.
My work especially resonates with clients experiencing:
Anxiety
Depression
Grief and loss
Trauma
Life transitions and personal growth challenges
My goal is to provide a supportive and compassionate space where clients feel empowered to better understand themselves, process life experiences, and move toward healing and growth.
